What is CrossFit Kids?
CrossFit kids is a fun way for your child to take part in fitness and CrossFit.
The classes, which are tailored for each age group, develop different aspects of your child’s fitness, but in a way that is engaging, enjoyable and educational without them evening knowing it!
What will they learn?
They will learn how to squat, to press and to deadlift, as well as hang from bars, do forward rolls, run, jump and a whole lot more.
The classes are all about having a good time, whilst helping them learn good nutritional and health habits, as well as introducing them to foundational movement, fitness and why it’s so great!
Are weights involved?
Whilst some weight is included in the training, it is very light, with primary focus being on building good movement patterns, developing muscle and bone strength through bodyweight activities and improving key physical skills like balance, coordination, agility and accuracy.


What do the classes look like?
The classes loosely follow the following pattern:
General warm-up
A chance to get the group warm and do some activities to work on things like balance and coordination, as well as to build some elements of strength through jumping and hopping.
Special warm-up
Time spent working on one of the foundational movements i.e. the squat, the press, the kettlebell swing etc.


Workout
A workout using the movements included in the special warm-up. The aim is to reinforce the work done in the special warm-up and to get them moving and moving well.
Game
The best bit of the session! This could be any one of a number of games including, Frogger, Up, Know Your Food or many others. Basically, a game where the children get to run around and move, whilst at the same time learning and having loads of fun doing it!
WHAT IS CrossFit TEENS?
Our CrossFit Teens Classes are aimed at those aged between 13 and 16. They are a great way to get your child involved in fitness in a class led gym environment with people of a similar age.
What’s involved in the TEENS classes?
The classes have a similar structure to those taken by our adults and include a warm-up, specific warm-up, skill and strength elements as well as a workout of the day (WOD) and cool down
They are coach led and means we work on the mechanics of lifts used in strength training, as well as develop their proficiency in body weight movement as well as cardiovascular and stamina based activities.
Classes are constantly varied which means we’re always doing different things to keep classes interesting and you continually developing.
What movements and equipment can we expect to see?
Movements you can expect to see include, deadlifts, squats, presses and cleans.

We’ll use barbells, dumbbell, kettlebells and heavy objects. We’ll also use pull-up bars and ropes, plyometric boxes, rowing machines, Airbikes and many other pieces of kit during our classes.
